Newborn Photography Sessions at the Studio

Our newborn photography sessions take place in our calm, cosy studio, designed especially with new parents and tiny babies in mind. These sessions are best booked for when your baby is between 7–21 days old, when they are still sleepy, curly, and happiest being gently posed and cuddled.

Your newborn session will last between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the package you select. This unhurried approach allows plenty of time for feeding, settling, nappy changes, and soothing—because your baby always sets the pace. There’s never any rush, and breaks are always welcomed.

My newborn photography style is relaxed, natural, and timeless. I focus on soft, classic tones—think whites, creams, and gentle neutrals that keep the attention where it belongs: on your baby. I don’t use elaborate props or place babies into baskets or themed setups. Instead, I create beautifully simple images that will still feel elegant and relevant decades from now.

Every newborn photoshoot is centred around capturing those fleeting details you’ll want to remember forever—tiny toes, wrinkly fingers, delicate eyelashes, soft lips, and all the little features that make your baby uniquely yours.

A Safe, Comfortable Studio Environment

Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. The studio is kept warm and peaceful, with everything set up to ensure your newborn feels secure and relaxed throughout the session. All poses are gentle and baby-led, and your little one is never placed into anything unnatural or uncomfortable.

Newborn sessions at the studio are also a beautiful opportunity to capture parent and baby portraits. Simple, neutral clothing works best and complements the timeless style of the images perfectly.

If you have any sentimental items you’d like to include—such as a special blanket, heirloom clothing, or a meaningful keepsake—you’re more than welcome to bring them along. Many parents also love bringing a favourite teddy. These are especially lovely for showing scale as your baby grows: right now, your newborn may look so tiny beside it, but before you know it, that same teddy will look smaller than them.
